The Ukrainian National Forestry University (National Forestry University of Ukraine, NLTU) in Lviv is a state university and the leading institution in Ukraine for forestry, woodworking, ecology and environmental management. Its history dates back to 1874, which makes it one of the oldest specialised forestry institutions in Europe; it received national status in 2005.
Over the decades the university has formed its own scientific schools, preserved its academic traditions and become an important centre of education and science for sustainable development and environmental protection. Today it trains specialists in technical, natural, environmental and economic fields — from forestry, landscape architecture and woodworking to IT, economics, management and law — combining classical education with research and practical training.
International students apply for an invitation to study with their education document, passport and photo, then apply for a study visa.
