Driver License
If you live in Ukraine, you may need a Ukrainian driving licence. Depending on the country that issued your licence, it can sometimes be exchanged for a Ukrainian one; in other cases you need to pass the theory and practical exams in Ukraine.
We check which option applies to you, prepare the translations and go with you to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
How we help
- Check whether your foreign licence can be exchanged
- Certified translation of your licence
- Help with the medical certificate
- Booking and accompanying you to the service center
Documents usually needed
- Passport with notarized translation
- Residence permit in Ukraine
- Your foreign driving licence
- Medical certificate
Address Registration
Foreigners who live in Ukraine with a residence permit must register (declare) their place of residence. Your registered address is needed for many other procedures — from extending your permit to opening a bank account.
We prepare the application, help you get the owner’s consent if you rent, and submit it at the administrative service center.
How we help
- Checking your rental contract and the owner’s consent
- Preparing and submitting the application
- Updating your registration when you move
Documents usually needed
- Passport and residence permit
- Rental contract or ownership documents
- Consent of the owner (if you rent)
Ban of Entry
A foreigner can be banned from entering Ukraine for a certain period — for example after overstaying, violating migration rules or after deportation. Many people only find out at the border.
We can check whether a ban exists, explain its reason and period, and help you challenge it through the competent authorities or in court where possible.
How we help
- Checking whether an entry ban exists
- Getting a copy of the decision and its reasons
- Appeal to the authorities or the court
- Advice on when and how you can return
- Deadlines for appeals are short — contact us as soon as you learn about a ban.
Deportation
If you receive a decision on forced return or deportation from Ukraine, it is important to act quickly. Such decisions can often be appealed, and in some cases your stay can be legalized instead.
Our lawyers review the decision, explain your options and represent you in the appeal.
How we help
- Urgent review of the decision
- Appeal in court
- Legalizing your stay where possible
- Cancellation of deportation consequences
- Appeal deadlines are very short — contact us immediately.
Residency Permit Rejection / Cancellation
A temporary or permanent residence permit can be refused or cancelled — for example because of missing documents, a change in your situation or a mistake in the application.
We find out the exact reason, prepare a new, complete application or appeal the decision if it was unlawful.
How we help
- Analysis of the refusal or cancellation
- Preparing a new application
- Appeal to the authorities or the court
- Protecting your legal stay during the process
Marriage
Foreigners can marry in Ukraine — to a Ukrainian citizen or to another foreigner — at a state civil registry office. We prepare your documents, arrange translations and book the date.
A marriage registered in Ukraine is valid abroad after an apostille or legalization, and marriage to a Ukrainian citizen can also be a ground for a residence permit.
How we help
- List of documents for your nationality
- Translations and apostille/legalization
- Booking the registration date
- Interpreter at the ceremony
- Apostille on your marriage certificate
Documents usually needed
- Passports with notarized translations
- Documents on previous marriages (if any)
- Other documents required for your nationality
Divorce
A divorce in Ukraine can be registered at the civil registry office when both spouses agree and there are no common minor children. In other cases, the divorce is decided by the court.
We advise you on the right procedure, prepare the documents and represent you in court if necessary.
How we help
- Choosing the right procedure
- Preparing the application and documents
- Representation in court
- Recognition of the divorce abroad (apostille)
Paternity
Paternity can be recognized voluntarily at the civil registry office, or established by a court — for example with a DNA test — when it is disputed.
Confirmed paternity is important for the child’s rights, citizenship, documents and for residence permits of the family.
How we help
- Voluntary recognition at the civil registry
- Court proceedings to establish paternity
- Organizing a DNA test
- Updating the child’s documents
Apostille
An apostille makes a Ukrainian document valid in the other countries that are part of the Hague Apostille Convention — for example diplomas, birth and marriage certificates or police clearance certificates.
We obtain the apostille from the competent Ukrainian authority for your type of document, so you don’t have to visit several offices.
How we help
- Checking which authority issues the apostille for your document
- Submitting and collecting the documents
- Translations of the apostilled documents
Documents Legalisation
If your document will be used in a country that is not part of the Hague Apostille Convention, it needs consular legalisation instead of an apostille — usually by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy of the destination country.
We take care of the whole chain of legalisation and translations for you.
How we help
- Legalisation of Ukrainian documents for use abroad
- Legalisation of foreign documents for use in Ukraine
- Certified translations
Non-Criminal Certificate (Police Clearance / Character)
A certificate of no criminal record (police clearance, character certificate) is often required for visas, work permits, studies or immigration in another country — also for foreigners who have lived in Ukraine.
We apply for the certificate on your behalf and can add an apostille and translation, so it is ready to use abroad.
How we help
- Applying for the certificate
- Apostille or legalisation
- Translation into the required language
- Sending the document to you abroad
Documents usually needed
- Passport copy (and Ukrainian tax ID, if you have one)
- Power of attorney, if we apply on your behalf
Buying & Renting Car in Ukraine
Foreigners living in Ukraine can buy and register a car. We help you check the car’s documents, sign the purchase safely and register it at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
If you only need a car for a short time, we arrange a rental — with or without a driver.
How we help
- Checking the car’s documents and history
- Purchase agreement and registration
- Insurance
- Car rental with or without a driver
Documents usually needed
- Passport and residence permit
- Ukrainian tax ID (identification code)
- Registered address in Ukraine
Appealing Visa Refusal to Ukraine
A refused visa is not always the end. Often the reason is a missing or unclear document, or doubts about the purpose of your trip.
We analyse the refusal, prepare a stronger new application with the right invitation and documents, or help you challenge the decision where this is possible.
How we help
- Analysis of the refusal reasons
- New application with a correct invitation
- Challenging the decision where possible
Appealing Entry Denied Decision
Border guards can refuse entry to Ukraine even with a valid visa — for example if they doubt the purpose of the trip or the documents. You should receive a written decision with the reason.
We review the decision, appeal it to the higher authority or the court, and prepare you for your next trip so it doesn’t happen again.
How we help
- Review of the written decision
- Appeal to the higher authority or the court
- Preparing documents for your next entry
- Keep the written decision you received at the border — it is needed for the appeal.
