Luhansk State Medical University (LSMU) is a state medical university of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. It was founded in 1956 in Luhansk and received university status in 1994. Because of the war in eastern Ukraine, the university was relocated to Rubizhne in 2014, and since March 2022 it has been working in Rivne, in north-western Ukraine.
LSMU has trained international students since 1983, and its graduates work in more than fifty countries. Despite the relocation, the university has kept its traditions and teaching staff and continues to train doctors, dentists and pharmacists at Master’s level.
International students study Medicine, Pediatrics, Dentistry and Pharmacy, with English-medium teaching for foreign students.
International students apply for an invitation to study with their school certificate (with grades in biology and chemistry), passport and photo. After the invitation letter is issued, the student applies for a study visa at the Ukrainian embassy.
A preparatory department is available for students who first need to learn the language and the core subjects. We help you with every step.
