Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUBA) is Ukraine’s leading state university for architecture, construction and civil engineering. It was founded in 1930 as the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute and for more than 95 years has trained architects, builders and engineers for Ukraine and many other countries.
Today about 17,000 students study at 7 faculties: Architecture; Construction; Technology and Construction; Urbanism and Spatial Planning; Automation and Information Technologies; Geoinformation Systems and Territorial Management; and Engineering Systems and Ecology. The university has more than 82,000 graduates and about 2,200 academic and administrative staff.
Besides architecture and construction, KNUBA teaches IT and cybersecurity, mechanical and electrical engineering, geodesy, ecology, economics, management and law. Most programmes are taught in Ukrainian; several Master’s programmes and PhD studies are also offered in English.
International students apply with their education document, passport and photo to receive an invitation to study, then apply for a study visa.
