European Medical University

European Medical University (EMU) in Dnipro is a private medical university founded in 1993. Until 2023 it was known as the Dnipro Medical Institute of Traditional and Non-Traditional Medicine. Its founder is Professor Viktor Abramov, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Ukraine, who led the university as rector until May 2017.

EMU teaches according to the state plans and programmes of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Besides classical Medicine and Dentistry, it also offers training in complementary medical disciplines such as reflexology, homeopathy, phytotherapy, biorhythmology, pharmacognosy, manual therapy, bioclinical medicine and naturopathy.

International students study Medicine and Dentistry in English.

International students apply for an invitation to study with their school certificate (with grades in biology and chemistry), passport and photo, then apply for a study visa at the Ukrainian embassy. Applications are accepted until 1 November and until 1 March.

• Medicine: 6 years (Master’s degree, Doctor of Medicine).
• Dentistry: 5 years (Master’s degree).
