Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) is a state medical university of Ukraine under the Ministry of Health. It was founded in 1930 in Donetsk as a medical institute, became a university in 1994 and received national status in 2007. For decades it was one of the largest medical schools in Ukraine and one of the first in Eastern Europe to teach foreign students in English.
Because of the Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine, the university was relocated in 2014 and now works in Kropyvnytskyi, in central Ukraine. It has kept its teaching staff and educational programmes and continues to train doctors, pediatricians, dentists and pharmacists, as well as interns and PhD students.
Medicine, Pediatrics, Dentistry and Pharmacy are integrated Master’s programmes. Teaching is in Ukrainian.
International students apply with their school certificate, passport and photo to receive an invitation to study, then apply for a study visa. Admission includes entrance exams at the university.
We help you with every step.
The university provides student dormitories in Kropyvnytskyi.
